Marine Deicer includes built-in thermal overload protection a 50 ft Electric power cord and 2 (20ft) suspension ropes.
          High Performance: This deicer is specifically designed with a high efficiency motor and propeller with 1750 rpm that creates a directional flow of water. This pushes warm bottom water to the surface and provides an ice-free area of protection around your boat dock pier or other in-water property.
          Safe & Easy Installation: Our pond deicer is easy to install and comes with a comprehensive instruction manual. It is ETL approved to CS A and UL standards to ensure your safety. Simply plug into a 120V outlet and enjoy your beautiful fountain display. Optional universal dock mounting systems are available as well as more powerful 1/2 and 1 HP unit sizes.

        • How shallow of water can this unit work in? How far off the bottom should it be?

          De-icer performance in shallow water (<6-10 ft.) is limited due to less warm water. For best results place the unit near deeper water and angle it toward shallow zones. Position 4-6 ft. below the surface always keep at least 1 ft. above the bottom.

        • Can these units sit on the pond/lake bottom and still run efficiently?

          Placing the De-icer on the bottom isnt recommended. Aftermarket mounts vary in effectiveness and in deeper water positioning too low can reduce surface water movement.

        • When should I install my de-icer?

          Although De-icers can be installed at any time installation becomes more difficult once ice has formed. It is recommended to install them in late fall to ensure a smooth set-up process before ice forms.

        • Do you have a thermostat that can turn the unit on when it reaches a certain temperature?

          Yes we offer a C-10 controller that activates based on air temperature- ideal for fluctuating conditions. The C-20 combines a timer and thermostat for consistent sub-freezing climates.
